Hi, I’m Máire Ní G (pronounced Moira!)
I’m a Taoist Instructor, which means I teach Qigong, meditation and Taoist practices to unlock your energy.
My life got infinitely easier when I started doing Taoist practices 13 years ago. I noticed a big change immediately after doing a simple meditation like the Six Healing Sounds. Incredibly, I could release crippling anxiety and stress about a big work project within a matter of minutes.
After a few weeks of morning Qigong, my energy levels were back up at full bar, which was a lifesaver because I was in the trenches of a burnout.
When I met up with old friends, they said I was looking younger.
Most importantly, my mood was less at the mercy of the sh*t-storms around me. You know what I mean, the stress and emotional rollercoasters that are part of every day?!
So life got simplified. I became a better version of myself.
I tried a lot of spiritual stuff when I was traveling - I met the Dalai Lama in the Himalayas, lived in a yoga ashram in India and explored shamanism with indigenous cultures from Brazil and Peru.
Nothing was as impactful as the Tao.
My scientific background means I get focused on tangible results. The change should be obvious - you feel it! And it lasts.
I’ve a Health Science degree from Trinity College, Dublin - where I studied physical & mental health as an Occupational Therapist.
After that I got a Postgraduate Diploma in Bereavement & Loss (RCSI, Dublin).
I’ve been deep diving into the nervous system and the mind-body connection over the last 20 years of my studies.
More recently I trained in Polyvagal Theory with the absolute legend that is Dr Stephen Porges and Deb Dana - two of the world’s leading neuroscientists.
Inspired by years of practice, I certified as a Universal Tao Instructor when I trained directly with the world-famous Grandmaster Mantak Chia in Tao Garden in Thailand, and I’ve worked very closely with him over the past couple of years. I’ve completed well over 1,000 hours of Taoist course training. Because I can't get enough of it!
This is my life. I live and breathe this stuff.
