Tao Yin is a combination of exercise and breath-work in the Taoist tradition from ancient China. It’s sometimes referred to as Taoist Yoga.
It relaxes the body, opens the meridians and clears the mind. Tao Yin helps direct energy or chi within the body for healing and restorative purposes. It places specific emphasis on developing strength and suppleness of the psoas muscle, which has a great impact on our posture as well as supporting and holding the internal organs. Tao Yin postures are done either lying or sitting. You will also benefit from the breathing practices that bring a sense of calm and self-healing.
During our Tao Yin workshop, we also do Taoist meditations of the Inner Smile and Six Healing Sounds for inner harmony, health and happiness. Complete beginners welcome. Not sure what it’s about? Try it out!
